Katie is a rescue dog who is being rescued for the second time in her 1 yr life. Katie is a beautiful Border Collie, who at a very young age was determined to have Hip Dysplasia, and to need a Total Hip Replacement...Katie is in a foster home where she is loved & well cared for, but after surgery in July and several months recuperating, Katie will need a FOREVER HOME! She is great with kids & other dogs.
The surgery itself is $4000 and the Pre-Surgical x-rays are
$250... We are not sure how much the Post-Surgical x-rays will be OR THE POST-SURGICAL SEDATIVES AND PAIN MEDS that she will need to be on for 4 Months afterwards, as she will have to be crated & leash walked then. I am guessing we are looking at around $6000 total, and have raised so far about $2500. We have had the expense of Pain Meds at about $50-$80/month since June 07... June 12th is Pre-Surgical x-rays and SURGERY IS MID JULY!
